Images as Revalations
I picked this image because it also (with the broccoli image) surprised me - simply, I didn't know that the yellow spots on apples were concave.
This may not be religous as revalations go, but in trying to properly balance the off-white of the honey at the time of the picture with the results in digital software, the spots were more pronounced the less I forced WHITE.
The Depth of Field is intentionally shallow and aided by an extra lens.
The soft glow helps to abstract the apple so it's less a picture of an apple that anyone can take, and more an illustration of quiet details that only careful photography can reveal.
I hope you agree enough to one day hire me!
