Honey Drizzle is less about the subjects and more about catching light and its behavior with very specific focus on three features. Sure! It sounds pretentious, but take a look at the image again after you read this. There is no WHITE in this picture because, from this Point of View, there was no white in the scene. Forcing it digitally is easy and would have been wrong.

Images as Revalations

I picked this image because it also (with the broccoli image) surprised me - simply, I didn't know that the yellow spots on apples were concave. This may not be religous as revalations go, but in trying to properly balance the off-white of the honey at the time of the picture with the results in digital software, the spots were more pronounced the less I forced WHITE. The Depth of Field is intentionally shallow and aided by an extra lens.

The soft glow helps to abstract the apple so it's less a picture of an apple that anyone can take, and more an illustration of quiet details that only careful photography can reveal. I hope you agree enough to one day hire me!
